The idea

This is how we picture it

Central Europe from west to east: the canals of Amsterdam, the Rhine valley with its castles and vineyards, the Berlin that rebuilt itself entirely, and a Prague that survived intact and looks like a film set, except it is real.

This is a trip idea, not a fixed package: every version is designed around the person living it.

Days 1-3

Amsterdam among the canals

Two nights for the city of canals: a boat ride, the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum, and neighbourhoods best explored by bicycle.

Amsterdam is measured in bridges. The city is small and direct: two well-used days go a long way.

Canals of Amsterdam

Days 3-5

The Rhine and Berlin

A cruise along the romantic stretch of the Rhine between Boppard and Cologne, an afternoon in Frankfurt and arrival in Berlin: the Brandenburg Gate, the Wall and Museum Island.

Berlin does not hide its scars: it points at them. It is the European capital where recent history can be touched.

Brandenburg Gate, Berlin

A capital that was erased and drawn again, without hiding the seams.

Berlin, Germany

Days 6-9

Dresden and three nights in Prague

A stop in Dresden, the city rebuilt stone by stone, and the finale in Prague: Charles Bridge at dawn, the castle and the astronomical clock.

Prague is the only capital in the region the war did not touch, and it shows: the entire centre is the original.
