What do you want to feel
Nature
Nature looks different depending on how much you walk. Tell us how much you want to walk.
Some people want to see the forest from the terrace. Others want to be inside it at five in the morning, when the birds sing.
Both are called “a nature trip” and they are nothing alike: the footwear changes, the time you get up changes and who goes with you changes.
What you need to know beforehand
The good things happen early
The birds sing at dawn, the sea flattens out before midday and the waterfall has fewer people at seven. A nature itinerary is built around the light, not around office hours.
And there are seasons: we look at that too before suggesting dates.
A forty-three-metre drop. With a guide you can go in behind the curtain of water, and in there you hear nothing else.

Four parks in one week
Honduras fits into a week of driving: the cloud forest of Cerro Azul Meámbar, the Lancetilla botanical garden planted in 1926, the mangroves of Jeannette Kawas park and the reef of Cayos Cochinos.
None is more than three hours from the next.

Where you sleep
Sleeping inside the park
A lodge inside the protected area puts you on the trail before anyone else. A hotel in the village gives you hot water and wifi. There is no right answer: there is the one that suits you.
That is why you will not see a price on this page. The trip is quoted once we know what it is.
A boat, an island of sand and nobody else. In Honduras that can still be done without booking a year ahead.

“Tell me how much you really want to walk. People overstate it and then the trip is no fun.”
A VOi Travel Designer takes your five answers and gets in touch to get to know you. Then they build the whole trip: flights, transfers, the naturalist guide, the permits for the protected areas and the times you need to set out.
We are operators on the ground, not middlemen: the office that sells you the trip is the same one that operates in Honduras.
